rome

For 34 centuries, Rome has been one of the most famous and important cities in the world. It's a historical anomaly: You can witness the Etruscan tombs, the Imperial Forum, temples, basilicas, Renaissance palaces and Baroque churches. The Eternal City, as it is often called, is unique in its style. Rome, which was made the capital of Italy thanks to its glorious past, is a city of passion and is the geographical heart of the nation. Every tourist must visit Rome at least once. The Palatine and the Roman Forum and, not far away, the Colosseum are the heart of ancient Rome. The charming Via del Corso connects the Forum to Piazza del Popolo in the north, while to the east you will find the famous Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. Piazza Navona and Trastevere are just a stone's throw away. To the northwest of the Forum, across the Tiber, sits the Vatican. If you have little time and want to visit the city in a few days, the main goals are the Colosseum, the Domus Aurea, the Basilica of San Giovanni, the Campidoglio, the Capitoline Museums, the Roman Forum, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums. There is always something to discover in Rome, something to let linger and reflect upon. It is a city where the present is alive and is intertwined with the past in the unique setting of its inhabitants and their Roman way of speaking.
